Interfacing Biology and Materials
This year ScSB Biomaterials meeting will be held in the snowy mountains of Norway, combining Interfacing biology and materials with skiing. The programme includes both plenary lectures on Interfacing biology and materials from distinguished researchers, and the latest biomaterial research from Scandinavia. The schedule allows for both in depth insight to interfacial biomaterials, networking and skiing. The venue is placed directly in the ski slopes of the Olympic Arena, Hafjell.

Danish-Student Society for Biomaterials
Within Danish Student Society for Biomaterials we pursue to gather students with interest in biomaterials in order to develop a society that can serve as a bridge between Danish students among. In the long term, this connection can be improved to include students and other interest groups around the Scandinavia In addition, we aim to build valuable communication and networking with research organizations and companies inside and outside Denmark. As such, the chair of Danish Student Society for Biomaterials, Necati Harmankaya, is a board member in ScSB

Biological Surface and Interfaces
The programme is organised into invited presentations by
internationally renowned researchers, complemented by shorter
contributed oral presentations and poster sessions by young scientists.
Selected after-dinner keynote speakers have been invited to put the
biointerface field in a larger scientific, clinical and social context.
A small-group discussion session is planned to address social and
ethical issues of the impact of the technologies and scientific
knowledge being developed and used in this area. The conference will
include short talks selected from the submitted abstracts as well as
poster presentations.
